Increasing enrollment conversions by 33% on the Meraki Learning Hub
Overview
The Meraki Learning Hub is a centralized resource on the Community for customers and partners to upskill on Meraki (or Cisco Networking) products. I led the redesign for new and experienced Meraki users to easily find relevant content, resulting in:
33% increase in enrollments
7% increase in "Truly Satisfied" CSAT

Problem
Visitors needed to identify the most relevant training option to enroll in.
Through discovery research with users, I found that new and experienced Meraki visitors landing at the Learning Hub for the first time were:

This led to a 69% attrition rate of visitors who didn’t sign up or enroll in training.
Goal
Provide clear, intuitive ways to quickly find training options by learning needs.
Key Decisions
Showcasing scannable, key information enables technical learners to find relevant options.
Through multiple iterations, I created a prototype to test with users and found:
Featuring new content provides value at first glance
Adding this section for the newest training pulled users in since staying up to date is their primary motivator for learning.Displaying metadata up front informs selection
Users found most value from preview images and factors like time, modality, level, etc.Grouping information at page level allows for easy scannability
The same metadata highlighted at the top of the page view set consistent expectations for users to then drill down into specifics, like learning objectives or individual modules that make up the full learning path.
Figma Prototype
Preview images created the strongest connection to user enrollment in specific content.
The prototype included multiple types of preview images, filters, and sort options:
Users preferred preview images that showed real hardware, software, or settings to better evaluate training options. To address this need, I designed a scalable system of templates, guidelines, and AI-powered prompts that ensured brand-aligned images and descriptions across 135+ courses, increasing user trust and making it easier to differentiate offerings.

Learnings
Navigating ambiguity requires strategic design and early collaboration.

Adaptability drives results: In 2023, I led discovery and made the case for redesign. When priorities and resources shifted, I adapted the scope to align with evolving business and user needs. By engaging data and research partners early, I helped reprioritize the initiative and form a cross-functional team.
Context shapes impact and approach: Since this was our team's first time working from a product perspective, I balanced ambition with feasibility by using frameworks as guides. This approach enabled us to deliver meaningful improvements despite constraints and set the foundation for future product work.
